If you look under 'machines' on the make list - there's some things there - ovens, spits etc...
Ask around in character, another character might have one, or know what they do...
As for cooked foods satusfying hunger more - I don't know that answer - but I know raw meat can't be eaten unless it's cooked.
Not all foods are eaten automatically - some have a different use....

There is no fire in Cantr.
Ther are fire pits, and you can add meat and wood, but then the "cooking" project turns the meat into a type of cooked meat and the wood becomes part of the cooked meat.
But, there is no fire, so a draconian interpretation of the CR means mentioning fire is a breech. Silly though.

If we can make something called a "Fire Pit" then is it not entirely logical to assume that it is a "Pit" with "Fire" in it?

And what assumptions should you make about a glass oven? Cooking stone? Curing tub?

If there's a fire pit and ovens that require coal or charcoal - I'm sure there's fire in Cantr - if only ever within the confines of machines...
Unless there's some kind of advanced fusion in the Cantr world...
(And I Bid you to BURN!
FIRE!
Na na na na na na na)

You could assume, but the way the world works it's better to assume machines are black boxes, I would say. After all...if a firepit is a pit with fire in it, why can't you:
stick all sorts of impropper things in it?
jump in and burn to death?
pour water on it?
let it burn out, or just let it burn unattended?
The cantr mechanics are fine, but they make it messy so assume things are like their RL namesakes.
The right ones
I never had trouble knowing what all of those were for. Well, I didn't know exactly with the cooking stone at first, but I had the right idea of what it was.
