docking problems

hey i'm on a longboat and there is a problem i went to dock and things seemed to be going fine the % was increasing but then it went and it's just floating and i can't do anything the view of the map shows a full blue ocean, am i in something like the bermuda triangle? i hope to be able to free up my boat soon it's not fun sitting there floating in mid ocean alone, and it now says there is no place to dock, but there was that's what i was docking to so ya it's screwed.

Were you docking on a ship or a harbour/location?

here is some info that might help, i go to the location page and above the picture of my boat on open water it says

below the picture it says
This vessel is currently floating on a sea.

and even lower
You are not close to any place where you could dock.

and when i click the continue button i get a red banner saying
ERROR: This vessel is not capable of doing anything but floating.=

i am running out of food only 3 days left please set me free
