Backpacks, carrysacks and pouches

Postby Psycho Pixie » Tue Aug 31, 2004 2:55 am

I am sure I mentioned it before, a long time ago, and i do apologize if its on your list anthony, but I wanted to restate the need for backpacks and carrysacks....

since it is now possible for others to see you carrying items like oh... a Crowbar, I think we need a backpack or carrysack (or both, one of leather and one of cloth?) to put things such as a crowbar in.... That way the public at large doesnt se you carrying a crowbar, or file, or bone scrapers,or any number of other things .Extra Clothing in the packs would be good. make it possible to hide medium or small items in the pack.

we put items in envelopes, and items in storage containers, so it seems like a very possible thing for the game, it doesnt seem like it would require major re-programming. And it would allow charrys that have extremly large inventories(like travel traders) to be more organized.

also a small pouch to carry that you keep needles, jewelry, etc..

so this list is:
leather backpack
cotton or hemp carrysack
leather, cotton, hemp, or wool pouch

thank you!

Since carrying things in packs or sacks is easier then carrying them all separate, these might also be used to increase total capacity... like the contents counting for only half their actual weight towards 15k? Obviously not usable in this way in vehicles and boats...

Both of these have been suggested, many billion times. Both of them will appear in the game, if and when Programming decides to add them. Items in Carryable Storage is a MUST to balance the ability to hide your secretive items. However, more carrying capacity is at the edge of a cliff, either to be shoved over and forgotten, or to be pulled back, because such an addition could cause problems (Especially with vehicles and buildings. They're set to allow only a certian amount of weight per person, and if someone were to come on with 50,000 grams of weight, it might screw some junk up.)

It's all at the descression of the Programming Department. If you want it SOOOOO BADDDDD, go beat them up for it, but the one is already on the ToDo list, and the second... I think it's there *Scratches his head*
