Small fishing net

The making of small fishing net requires either wood or reed. Does this imply that the small fishing net is a dip net? Otherwise it wouldn't have any rigid part which requires material like wood or reed.

After reading more about fishing nets, I realize that there are many parts in various kinds of fishing nets can be made out of wood or reed. :oops:
