Greetings!
Day one for me, and I'd like to ask a question: isn't it being able to see events that happened when one is offline a bit OOC? Or is this okay on the idea that our characters are always in the world?

Re: Events page
Welcome! Always glad to have new players.
Our characters are always in this world- usually when we log off, it's considered sleeping. It's perfectly fine to react to something that happened while you were sleeping, even if you slept for a whole day or more.

Re: Events page
It's not like a chatroom, where people talk nearly instantly. It's more like an even slower version of IRC, where you might only log in every 3rd day, and still you'll see and hear everything.
But welcome aboard. Feel free to ask questions in the forum, or check the wiki.

Re: Events page
There are few things more annoying than people who ignore what happened when they were sleeping. It's almost impossible to communicate with people like that, and especially annoying if they're in charge of trades.

Re: Events page
This slightly confused me long ago too, but thanks for asking the question to clarify!
I see Cantr as the others explained above, more similar to a "forum RP" timescale. What happens in the Events, happens, at the slower sporadic speed that it happens, and your characters are ever-present in the world, unless you choose them not to be.
Welcome, and enjoy!!

Re: Events page
For me it depends on how much went on while I was offline. If I don't log in for 3 days and I'm in a really active town, then there's no way I'm going to read through everything that happened. I'll make sure nobody's attacked or spoken directly to me (yay filters!), maybe jot down some names, and that's pretty much it.

Does the events page ever clear?

Re: Events page
Ahh, that's a good question. It clears, sorta. When you've looked at the same event 4 or 5 times, it gets cleared. Or, you can read everything, click hide all and start with a fresh slate. It'll still be there, and you can see things from 7 days ago, but it helps you keep up with busy towns of talking and stuff happening.
