Cod

One of my characters has about 50g of cod. He can't seem to eat it for healing food and it is not eaten automatically because he has been hungry for the past few days. As he can't eat cod, does it have some other use that I am not aware of?

Some foods in the game need to be cooked because they can't be eaten raw.
