Daily hunting
It seems my characters cannot hunt every day at the same time any more. They could until a few days ago.
I am used to let them hunt at the same time each day, just after a project tick. I now have to wait for the next tick, so the hunting time moves forward each day. This is really inconvenient.
What happened?

Re: Daily hunting
The ticks moved after time froze for a short time, that might be the reason.

Wouldn't it work to just skip a day and then resume your old schedule?

Re: Daily hunting
I have done that (monday -> tuesday), Swingerzetta, but the problem is still there. Will try again from off today.

Re: Daily hunting
This could be caused by you being more efficient in the skill for your project now than you used to be.

Re: Daily hunting
Just curious Echo, as I've been following this, how that affects things?

Re: Daily hunting
Higher skill allows you to complete projects faster, while lower skills makes it slower. Or am I missing something?

Yeah, hunting doesn't work like other projects do.

Re: Daily hunting
No, but Bmot was hunting after a project completion every day, and can't do that now, so perhaps his projects does now complete faster, and the hunting has not yet reset.
Very schematic:
Very schematic:
Code: Select all
X----|----|----|----|----|----|----|----X----| <- Time, X = hunting reset
X-----|-----|-----|-----|-----|-----|-----|-----X--¤--| <- Project before skill change, X = project completion, ¤ = did hunt
X---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---X-#-| <- Project after skillup, X = project completion, # = tries to hunt

Re: Daily hunting
It was me in fact, not Bmot.
Hunting is in no way related to projects. ALL my characters hunting have to wait longer than a day now.
I only mentioned the project tick, so it would be clear where exactly in the tick cycle my characters hunted (projects are not completed, they just advance):
0:00 start of tick
0:30 reduce tiredness, animals attack, weather (somewhere here...)
0:45 sailing
1:10 land movement
1:40 projects
--------> my chars are hunting here
2:00 reduce tiredness (this may have moved....)
3:00 end of tick
Where in this cycle is hunting block from the day before (8 ticks ago) released?
When i timed it today, it was at the projects moment(1:40), almost 9 ticks after hunting took place. It should be a full tick earlier (as it was until a week ago).

Re: Daily hunting
I didn't hunt loads when I played once I had all my characters in something looking like civilisation, but I did notice that often I would have to wait an extra (IRL) hour or so relative to the previous day before I could hunt. Much less often I'd be able to hunt ~20 IRL minutes earlier than the day before.

*pulls hair out*
Is this something that can be fixed? Assuming the in-game time hasn't been jumped forwards or backwards in the last day it's been more than 26 real-life hours since one of my characters hunted and he still can't hunt again.
edit: was able to hunt shortly before 27 hours had passed
