Event Filter

Postby Snickie » Sat Jun 30, 2012 2:33 pm

Some time ago for one of my characters, I put on her settings a list of things that would not light her up. Sailing and docking was not one of them.

So, she set sail sometime yesterday in an unrigged sloop, and I knew that she was close enough to the next harbour to be able to dock there. I didn't, but when I looked this morning, my character had not lit up, and there was a list of events saying "You see dockable places: [place, place, place]." Shouldn't have those events turned my character active?

Did you double check your filter? Maybe post your settings here?

Yes I did. Here are the settings for that particular character:

Code: Select all

Events from this list will _not_ set a character in active mode:

[x] Attacks (including animals)
[x] Eating
[ ] Picking locks
[ ] Passing notes (to me)
[x] Passing notes
[ ] Passing objects (to me)
[x] Passing objects
[ ] Passing resouces (to me)
[x] Passing resouces
[ ] Sailing and docking
[x] Putting things into containers
[ ] Attacks (including animals) on me
[x] Taking things out of containers
[ ] Talking
[x] Whispers
[ ] Whispers to me
[ ] Others
[ ] Dragging characters
[x] Your whispers
[x] People/vehicles entering
[x] People/vehicles leaving
[ ] Spawning
[x] Project setup/completion
[ ] Dragging on me
[x] Dragging
[ ] Radio messages

On that note, "resources" is spelled wrong.

I have no filters on that character's event page.

If I were to guess, I would guess that spotting harbors is under the people/vehicles coming/going filter. Uncheck them one at a time and see if that fixes it.

Strange, you'd think it would have to do with sailing, especially considering it happens on a boat and on that tick. But I'll try that.

Unchecked People/Vehicles entering

edit: It works.
