IRC

Not sure where to put this but maybe someone can help.. When I use the link on the home page to get to IRC all I get is this..

Unable to connect : java.net.ConnectException : Connection timed

How do I fix?

I think it's broken for everybody since I tried to use it a few days back and couldn't get it to work either. There are probably other online chats that allow access to #cantr, although a better solution would be to get a program like mirc (although legally it only works for 30 days without having to pay).

Ha my laptop has MIRC and has for over a year, it still connects.. but thank you Seko.. good to know it isn't just me..

I think the problem is that the irc channel default connects through a server that's been down for a week or so.

Someone who's good with that could probably fix it so it connects through another server, but. *Shrugs* Try mibbit.com/chat for now like Theda said. As long as you don't connect through irc.tobug.net you'll get in.
