Why is it that when an animal is killed, everything just falls to the ground. I think a person would have to gut and skin the animal first. It could be done as a project, with different actions requiring different tools. To get the meat you'd need a knife, so to get bones you could just use your hands.
The different actions would let you take what you want from the animal. After the project the animal's body is gone (since it's been picked clean) or changes to Carcase.
A carcase or dead animal body could also be buried like a person's body. Eliminating a lot of the extra bones and sinew lying around.

This has been suggested before, but I still think it's a good idea. Although rather than a project, I think animal corpses should work as a container like human bodies, but instead of clothing there would be meat, bones, hide/fur and sinew. It would be neat if the name of the object changed based on which resources had been removed, but with the current mechanics that's not possible beyond turning it into another object. Even if all the resources were taken away, there would still be parts that cannot be used like guts, brains, maybe the skull, feet, teeth - those would give a reason not to make the corpse disappear after all the resources have been removed. But the bodies would be made to deteriorate fast so that people wouldn't necessarily have to bury all the remains.
