[Shortest Suggestion ever?]

I thought they were already buildable inside.

Sound like a good suggestion to me anyway.

I'm sure there is some type of programming issue involved here but I like the idea.

There is not. Simply adding a tag does the trick as far as I know.

Originally landmarks were supposed to be used for navigation on land once free roaming would be implemented, but since there can be a whole bunch of them in a town, that probably wouldn't work pretty well. I see no objections to allowing landmarks indoors, but they could be a separate object called something like stone tablet, wooden sign, etc. to create more diversity.

Also why not add marble landmarks while we're on it? And brass plaques and something like that.

I fail to see the point in making landmarks in a building unless those landmarks can be destroyed.

I think the idea of landmarks indoors was triggered from the Gravestones thread - if you have a crypt you can have memorials.

The whole idea of the graveyard was you start a burial project and you add the gravestone on top of it.

Allowing signs to be made indoors though, I fail to see the points since we already have notes.

I just see a bunch of "mustard was here" projects popping up and no real benefit to this.

If you have a sub room in your crypt, you can add signs on it. As far as I know, the amount is not limited.

Yes, but you'd need to make seperate empty rooms, just to add a plaquete to it. I consider this kind of overdoing it.

You can put several signs on one room.

Maybe we could add other types of alcove. They would cost about as much as a landmark, but would be much more suitable for burials. They could also be used for other purposes.
Pretty in pink.

I've always wanted to be able to build landmarks indoors. While we are at it, let us make them movable AND destroy able. It would be nice for anyone that wants a museum, a crypt, a memorial of some kind, a library, or any other place that you might want to have a real 'sign' or 'statue' or a 'plaque' NOT FAKE ONES MADE OUT OF PAPER. :)
