Electricity

Postby Judock Harald » Wed Oct 07, 2009 10:22 pm

I like to suggest the way of electricity.

1.
First, you need to make copper wires and magnets, because you need to generate it. Magnets can rarely by found as source, but if you already have electricy, you can melt iron, in a special electricy-melting oven, and you get magnets.
2.
With magnets and copper wire, you can make a genetaror, in different sizes. you need a wooden case, plaster, magnets and copper wire.
3. You need to drive the generator with a rotating source, so you can connect it with an engine or with a windmill (need to be build). The larger genetarors needing a larger engine, but are generating more power.
4. At last, you need to make an electricy-network. You can do that by making tools, named "electricy connection". the larger the genetaror, the more connectors are alowed.
5. now you can attach machines to the electricy-network. but, you need to make them electricy-powered. To do this, you have to create an electric engine at the machines. For example, making an electric-powered bow-stringer.

To have electricy inside a building, you need to connect the house with the network.
Electric machines are providing faster production times.

You know this will cause an uproar, don't you? Why do you think they haven't dared implement the vehicle fuel thing yet?
Cantrians manage to make radios work without electricity, (OK they could be crystal sets not needing power, explaining their limited quality of output,) and Cantrians apparently see OK indoors without windows.
So what can electricity provide for them that won't slow down everything?

You need two different metals with as much differnce in "nobleness" as possible (dont know the english vocabulary for this). carbon can count as metal in this case.
