Master key

Okay, aren't you sick of having 10 000 grams of keys just for one character? What I suggest is that we can make replicated locks which you install into other building making it possible to use just 1 key to access 10 rooms. Your thoughts?

Nice idea. Could be implemented by being able to add an optional 'code' to a new lock as well as to a new key. The lock code of course is not visible, the creator of the lock should memorize it, or record it on a personal note.
Keys can be made by copying them, like is the case now, or could be made in a separate project, where the creator can define the key code.

A lock (with a code) could then be opened (and closed) by any key with the matching code.

I actually found this in a town on Treefeather. The jail is four or five rooms deep and the first two or three all had the same lock somehow. I spent almost 20 minutes comparing the numbers to make sure I wasn't crazy.

Check out again if there aren't any drugs in the room, oif not I think it is an old bug. Zorzors I like the idea of having Master Keys, since keys are such a pain in the ass. You might get the keys and with a project, create a key that has all the selected keys secrets.

Also, good for dungeons. More rooms, less keys = better.

This is a good idea, to be able to make a lock to match a key. It would add another way to recycle old keys. Of course, it shouldn't be possible to make a new key from the same lock without having the original key. That could be abused.

Hey, that's a good idea. That you'd have to have the key in order to produce a matching lock would save the system from abuse.
