Just a thought that came to mind today, so obviously hasn't really been deeply thought about yet. I was just thinking about taking boats apart to re-use the wood in making a larger boat. Kinda like up-grading. Some wood may not be re-usable so you'll end up getting less wood than you did to begin with. Well anyways please feel free to share your thoughts on this, I know it's not the greatest of ideas but yea.

Agreed. It is also quite similar to http://www.cantr.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10392 which is sitting in Accepted Suggestions, although Chris suggests that getting the resources out of the item will not happen in the forseeable future.
