i remember last year some kids of the same age telling me they thought alaska was a big island in the middle of the ocean. they honestly, true to god, thought it was a big island floating in the middle of the ocean......

do me a favor and shoot me now before these kids become our nation leaders....

Columbia is the capital of South Carolina. Colombia is the South American country which borders Panama, and that border indicates the dividing line between Central and South America.

My Spanish teacher is from Colombia.

(There's also a Columbia in Alabama, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin, although I agree the most well known one is in South Carolina. AFAIK, There are no Columbias in South America).

Sorry, Melloyell. But that's the risk you run when you mock someone else's lack of schooling. No sweat. We ALL make mistakes (I've even been known to make some every few years or so). That's what makes us human.

BTW, how are things going with that whole job situation?

(In other news, lost about 5 pounds in the past three weeks or so. Trying to just be sensible about exercise and diet. I want to lose about 25-35 more. So, yay me! Hope I can keep it up.)

im not sure if its a lack of schooling, a lack of learning, or what. i just know something is wrong with our public school systems.

as for the job situation, very unsatisfied. the big dogs basically swept it under the rug and made it an issue of me and my boss being able to be "friends" at the workplace, versus the fact that the boss was doing something illegal.

-they- are perfectly happy with their "solution". i am not.
