Mono as in mononucleosis? I doubt it, since other than being really sleepy and generally apathetic I feel fine. I took my temperature a few minutes ago and I was normal, no fever.

Some thoughts:
• I did have a cold earlier this week. Maybe I'm not completely over it.
• Maybe I accidentally overdosed on Zyrtec last night. (I don't remember if I took one yesterday morning, but my mom had me take one last night because I was performing at the Tri-M induction ceremony.)
• Marching band might be too demanding.
• I did almost fall asleep on Thursday in AP Statistics, so maybe I'm behind on sleep.

On the topic of weird ailments, does anyone think that the heat from your laptop, if placed on your stomach, could give you stomach cramping? I often sit with my loptop "down," i.e. the keyboard is on my chest, which puts the exhaust port on my stomach. It get -very- hot there. I often feel sick in the evenings, either in my intestines, or in my chest, and this is the first time I thought that maybe the heat (or maybe emf from the computer) could be to blame...

I doubt it, since heat is usually the cure for cramping.

Different kind of muscle though, skeletal vs. smooth.

Maybe it's due to your posture while using the laptop in that position?

That clears things up. But my mom still doesn't like me laying down with my laptop on my stomach.

Speaking of clearing things up. Yes, I was able to stay awake today. My mom and I figured it was an accidental anti-histamine overdose that was making me sleep all day yesterday (I slept through the night after committing myself to sleep again around 9 and waking up at 6:30 this morning) and it's mostly left my system by today.

And, that crick in my neck never completely went away. It's acting up right now, in fact. =_=

I feel your pain...er..itchiness, gejyspa! After three weeks, I'm STILL itchy from the chigger bites all over my legs AND poison ivy all over my arms. Late week two, a mob of mosquitoes added to my misery. I'm apparently on mother nature's bad list for some reason.

Or you are just tasty for bugs and... well... plants?
Garlic pills help with mosquitoes. And vampires :D

The poison ivy actually came from my dog. *grumbles* Crazy mutt got sprayed in the face (again) by a skunk a few weeks ago so I was wrestling her trying unsuccessfully to scrub the stink off her. Guess she'd been running through poison ivy and I got the oil on me from her fur.

Stupid dog STILL wants to go chasing after skunks in spite of being sprayed at least 3 times (twice in the face/mouth). Last night she was going nuts and I almost let her out before the smell drifted in through the open windows.

I've always been told B12 is good for repelling mosquitoes, too. I remember my mom making us take B12 pills throughout the summer. But...I was just trying to grill some brats!! I was outside for less than 5 min when they mobbed me.

@Itchy:
I still get itchy occasionally in the spots where I had ringworm two years ago. It makes me think they might be coming back, but when I look there's nothing there. Having the dermitologist scrape the spots for samples was the best thing I'd ever felt at a doctor's office (they used the side of a glass slide and it was like heaven for relieving the itch...as long as they kept scraping, anyway).

@B12:
I've been drinking vitamin water for marching band rehearsals, which are at night on Tuesdays. A full bottle contains 100% daily recommended amount of B12. Maybe that's why the mosquitoes haven't been bugging me lately. Or maybe it's because I'm actually using bug spray this year. :?

RotD: Looks like another four keys are getting ready to fall off my phone keyboard. ><
