I have 4 family members that used to play cantr, only one of which I believe still plays but I'm not sure how regularly or even if she still has her account...I've met 4 Cantrians outside of our family. One of which had become a family friend and spends time down here visiting sometimes.

It was a planned meeting. Planned for a long time but didn't actually happen until recently. The colleges we went to this last year are like right next to each other (though the main campus of his is further)..

What makes this special for me is that it's someone who I didn't already know and then tell about Cantr. I have a brother who I think still plays, a sister who possibly still plays, a friend who plays inactively, and another friend whose account idled..
This is really the first time that I've met up with someone I met on the internet.

My desktop's motherboard died today. It was only 9 months old. Wth. Now I'm stuck on my laptop, which is a pretty good computer, but it can't really play games at all. Oddly it can run WoW on the lowest settings, but it can't even load Minecraft.

That's not that odd at all. I have the same problem with my laptops and minecraft. That game is a total resource hog, which is surprising when you consider how low-res the graphics are. It think it's just not very efficient, so hopefully it will get better with time.

Dwarf Fortress practically doesn't have graphics and it lags even my desktop (an i7).

Doesn't WoW use the Warcraft 3 engine, which is like 10 years old now? WoW is 6 1/2 years old too, for that matter.
