So do I. It made the commute hell until I took online classes this last semester.

English Lit., with a minor in Cultural Anthropology. In hindsight, I wish I'd done something else - or majored in Anthro or Arch. There's always graduate school, I guess.

I know it's hot at home (the thermometer says: 20,5ºC), I know I'm wearing too much clothes, I know my body (my skin, at least) is hot... So, why can't I stop shivering?

I haven't finished my homework.
Looks like I'll be pulling an all-nighter.
I'm already in pain both physically and mentally from staring down at this book for so long.
Ugggghhhhhh.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Anxiety....normally I don't have an issue. But, I guess it's been building. Spent friday night in the ER because I couldn't breathe, thought I might have to go back today for the same thing. They told me it was just an allergy to something, but now I am starting to think it's anxiety of some sort. Then...I feel like an ass because my minor problems are nothing compared to my friend who just found out some life changing news that makes my whole "I have to get a biopsy tomorrow" pity party seem like I am being really selfish. Ugh. I wish I could at least sleep and relax a little. Guilt on top of anxiety is no bueno.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
^ I've been feeling the same way for the last four days. Couldn't eat, sleep or breathe properly. My heart is beating like mad. The sinking feeling and dizziness. I won't go into the emotional impact, but when I say I can't eat, that's serious. My body is used to a regular intake of a high amount of calories (translation: I eat like a horse) and the sudden change is worrying. I love my food, dammit! Now I force myself to eat, as I feel so nauseous (vicious circle, I can't eat as I feel sick, I feel more sick as I can't eat).
I'll see my GP today as it doesn't seem to be getting any better. He'll tell me I've a lot on my plate etc and probably adjust my medication. Okay... *little sigh*
Cheshierecat, try not to feel so guilty. I'm sure you can empathise with your friend's circumstances, but your difficulty is yours, only you best know how it affects you. Being grateful for not having more serious problems is good, but feeling guilty isn't going to help, it will only make you more anxious... Another vicious circle there. I hope you and your friend both feel better soon. A free hug sent your way by instant teleportation.

I'm not looking forward to working tonight. I do security at the Saddledome for Calgary Flames games. It's St. Patties day and their playing a really bad team, so I can't see many people showing up not to get absolutely chugged with booze. Whoo.

Ha. Probably a case of no one wanting to make the first move on that one. I'm irregular enough in my contributions here to start then I suppose.
Edit - My irregular contributions in the forum are stopping me from being able to choose anyone for nomination! I'd be better at in game awards. Apologies.
