Hmm... Talking about maps and resources, as it has be done in this topic, isn't a CRB? We players were informed where some resources could be gathered, without questioning it.

Meat after one day = N - 5^(N/2000)
Such that, if there's two kilos of meat 5 grams rot per day
If there's 4 kilos, 25 grams rot
6 kilos, 125 grams
8 kilos, 625 grams
10 kilos, 3.125 kilos
This would be an example of exponential rot. The more meat there is, the higher percentage of it rots away. This would pretty well keep numbers below 6-7 kilos of raw meat lying around.
Under this equation, if I toss my 3 metric tons of meat outside, I'll lose 2.988 metric tons in one day. That seems scary to me.

Everything rotting everywhere, just so we can have a marginal sense of reality, and a larger sense of an obsessive compulsive disorder to clean things you find undesireable. This is INSANITY. Saying "just cook it" or "you can build this steel thing to store away a few kilos" isn't going to change the fact that you would reduce the amount of food and food possible across the game. Survivability would plummet, and there would be a new exodus, because no one bothered to read this thread and voice thier opinions.
Just leave it alone. Deal with the piles. If you want to get ride of the meat, cook it yourself, trade it or even give it away. Make it go away through the myriad of in game ways, and just leave it alone.
Reality was never my strong point.
