Not really as you can only have one ghost I believe forever. And the ghost can only be in one town. The town the char died in.

How is a ghost different from any other character? It is heavily limited, so a normal character is better for this 'CRB spying'. Your argument is invalid. q-q

And what about annoying ghosts? I mean ghosts played that keep bothering people who want to be alone together. As you can't kill a ghost. I don't want a ghost that keeps pissing me of by dragging resources and saying rude things and more like that, and I can't do anything against it.

I really liked an idea with choosing spawn location.
Ghosts are pretty unusual for Cantr...It might be good idea if ghost can appear only after char who lives long enough...50 years for example and moreover it should take some time after death do become ghost...maybe 25 years. Of course ghost should take one char-slot... I dont like idea that ghost may drag some objects. And what about characters died on ship at sea??
I have a cunning plan...

Sorry, but there is absolutely nothing scientific about ghosts. You can't seriously believe there is a legit scientific study that proves the existence of ghosts.

Anyway, what would be next? Holy water? Exorcisms? Proton Rays? I don't like the way this is heading.
Pretty in pink.

I hate the idea of being able to choose your own spawning location. Before you know a few towns have a lot new spawns every day.

It wouldn't/shouldn't be that specific.

a) you cannot kill a ghost
b) can you see a ghost?
c) he suggested ghosts can go through locked door. Perfect spy.

None of those points are good ones. As you seem to be forgetting you can only have one ghost. As the ghost won't die you will only be able to have one ever. The ghost will be limited to one town. Believe me it won't get more people to commit CRB then the amount of people already doing that.

I agree with what Pisc has said, sure, it sounds neat, but it drags the game down a certain path...

And wiro - for once I agree with catpurr. I can see this being used by people like *name removed* who are famous for sending all their characters to their last one's death to kill them.. It's just another step on the whole cr breaching stuff.

Besides the point that I see this completely useless, and being used more as an annoyance on players just trying to Rp, and also don't like the fact that you can't do anything to get rid of them (without implementing ghost-be-gone shit and dragging the game further down this path that IMO it should not be heading).

I can also see this being offensive to people who do not believe in paranormal/supernatural things, and play cantr PURELY because it's a society simulator, and not a fantasy world, with mysterious entities and unrealistic add-ons such as this. Keep any paranormal/supernatural things out of the hard code, so people who don't want to acknowledge don't have to.

You can always roleplay for a new character to a believe he is a ghost. Maybe the surronding players will believe it to. {Just be sure he doesn't get a memory of his prior life}

@piscar, yay Proton Rays! Ghostbusters coming into town!

How about being able get custom skins?

Just a "Hey it ain't green now" feature. Doesn't effect gameplay AT ALL and adds, well nothing, but lots of games do it anyway and people get them.

Then people could make their own and "submit them" or something as well. Give joo something to do other then forget about CantrSpy and make grease-monkey codes.

The ability to "increase luck" would be cool. Lucky for lock breaking and chance to hit... just luck in general and it would be rather small (so not cost a lot) and hardly be noticeable except to the actual "lucky character".
