I hate my computer. I hate my computer. I hate my computer. I hate my computer.

I can probably type that a million more times right now and not come close to how much I hate my computer right now.

Luckily I have my laptop and netbook (what I am using at this moment) + 3 different cell phones with full net capability, but right now, I wanna say **** you desktop.

Apparently my HD decided to fail. No sudden warnings, no notice...just BAM and done.

*sigh* And typing this on my netbook, effing windows decided to update and restart. Luckily it was nice enough to save what I had typed.

Oh...and to top it off, I think I am getting a sinus infection from some cold or allergy.

</rant>

I want to punch a llama right now.

My desktop has RAID with dual hard-drives. I will -never- not have this feature again in my desktop. I've had 4 hard-drive failures, each recovered in 1/2 hour.

Sad thing is, I should have done this too. Especially with the price of HD's, there is no real excuse not to.

I do have backups of all critical files though, and even most games I have are backed up as well (Gotta love Steam) so nothing really big lost.

Woot!~

Problem fixed (although I don't think it's gonna be all that reliable), but its better than running out to get a new HD right now.

I still wanna punch a llama though.

TotD:
I wonder how many people from the Cantr II fanpage on Facebook would start stalking me if I suddenly changed my profile picture to a picture of my cat Snick similar or congruent to the one I have here, or changed my avatar here to something similiar to my profile picture on Facebook…

RotD:
I can't find out right now because my mom is using my laptop for whatever reason (I'm on my phone right now).
Pftt. I can't even listen to the music I want to because my iPod is missing.

I am going to implode if I don't get a good, strong dose of good music tonight. *claws at ears and frantically tears up her room in search of her iPod*

Totd: I need to stop reading so much Sookie Stackhouse and Cantr needs to come back up. In Cantr's absence, I've been reading the SS books (now on 9) in chronological ordering, immediately beginning one when I finish the other. I don't like going out of the house much, so it's all I've done with all this extra free time.
Anyway, I also have been getting some phone calls from some odd numbers on my phone, with really odd area codes. Now, I was rightly wary, but instead of worrying about my boyfriend's estranged dad trying to contact him through me (he's in the area, and my boyfriend is refusing to talk to him), the first thought that rolled through my head was that it was probably some Fellowship of the Sun flunkies trying to harass me. So not only was I thinking in Sookie's world, I was thinking as her. I startled myself so much by this casual train of thought I immediately stopped myself and asked what I was doing (not aloud, I'm not that mad), but it was still weird.
Anywho, no rants today, 'cause I totally had an awesome day and maybe I'll post about it tomorrow but I'm tired.

I can't go to irc because this address has been banned as a spam drone. Great... Well, at least I'll be more likely to do something else than stay on the computer all night.

It's letting me on. But then, I don't have an official account and go simply as "guest" until I change my nick.

Edit: Didn't want to double-post, so.

The Google Adsense Bot keeps looking at the user control panel. I think it's trying to brainwash us.

So I'm staying in Helsinki until tomorrow although originally I was supposed to go home today but the psychologist asked if I'd be okay with an extra day and I said yeah.

If y'all want to see approximately fifteen seconds of what I do on Friday nights and every other Saturday, turn to ESPN2 tonight around 7pm EDT (GMT –5) and stay tuned for when halftime comes around. ;)

Edit 1: Okay, so apparently they didn't show any of our halftime show—they showed commercials and other irrelevant stuff. :x

It was a good show, too!

[Insert obnoxiously long rant, complete with guilt trip, verbal lashing out, and super long lecture, here.]

I heard it might appear on ESPN Online and that they actually recorded the whole thing, and that they also might show the whole show at the end of the program, so I will be sure to keep y'all updated.
Because I know all of you care. Hooray!

Edit 2: I guess we were heard during the fourth quarter, but they zoomed in on the other school during that…? These texts from my mom are so unclear. :?

Other than that, I haven't heard anything else about our performance.

Edit 3: So our side didn't get shown tonight at all (except when the camera was sweeping the field following the game, and then it was only glimpses). Not during halftime, not when we went on a giant playing-spree in the fourth quarter (we were loud and you could definitely hear us, but despite that they showed the other people instead), not ever, aside from those occasional glimpses.

Needless to say, I'm not too happy with neither ESPN nor the athletic department. We were promised fifteen seconds of being on live national television, and it didn't happen. At the same time, tonight was great, despite how terribly we lost.

Eh, whatever. *too tired to care right now*

All I know is that I'm most likely going to sleep in class today. *yawns*

When I was in Helsinki, I saw a guy who looked just like Pharap Jahrot at a streetcar stop on the other side of a street, except that he wasn't bald. It was a funny coincidence.

I doubt I'll be online very much this weekend, so I just wanted to post this now.

Today is the 4A marching festival. My school is marching in it today. It is probably going to rain today, which is an upgrade from last year because it was so HOT. Last year. People were passing out left and right.
But anyways. I'll be sure to post updates as soon as I can after getting them.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

The other reason is that I'm apparently behind in schoolwork, so that's what I'll be doing all day tomorrow after church and sleeping in.
This isn't due to Cantr, by the way. This happens around this time every year, regardless of what I'm obsessing over at the time. *shrugs*

Bumping this. Yes, I know I'm double-posting, but I'm far too tired to deal with editing the other one, especially since I'm on my phone.

So basically, our band made overall Excellent, which isn't bad, but not the best rating either. And the reason for that was that we had our front ensemble mic'ed and the mixer was far too loud (especially since we have a large front ensemble that likes to play loud anyway), a fault our band director took the blame for. It seriously affected our score in four of the six captions we were judged in in a bad way. But we know better now.

We came out with a score of 63.00 (that's as it was announced) and the highest score was 70.30, which isn't a very large span, so we did fairly well comparatively despite the fact that we made 5th place overall and 2nd in our class. But the larger bands always have higher scores. Our percussion, despite the front ensemble mixer thing, scored the highest out of all of the bands there, landing an 81 and thus a superior rating. Also, our field commanders (most people call them drum majors) received a Distinguished rating, which in our state is higher than superior (please don't ask me why!) and numerically was the second-highest drum major score by a small amount (between our school and the first place school).

Other than the mixer thing, tonight was by far the best show our high school has ever put on. There was nothing we could have done to make it any better tonight. We marched our hardest, played our hardest, cheered our hardest…

…and now I'm going to sleep my hardest.

*yawns* Good night.

Well, I really don't want to triple-post, and I don't feel like merging the two band-related posts, so here we go.

It is late. I am folding and putting away clothes, while my parents are in their bedroom getting ready for bed.
You say: "*she picks up a piece of laundry and begins to fold it before noticing an odd smell. She moves in to sniff it more closely* Why does my half of my laundry smell like bananas?"
A woman in her forties says: "What do you mean? *gets into bed*"
You say: "Half of my laundry smells like bananas!"
A woman in her forties says: "Bring me a piece—unless it's underwear."
A man in his forties says: "*turns out the bedroom light and climbs into bed* Ew!"
You say: "Well...the underwear is what I first noticed it in. *starts digging through the stack of laundry left*"
A woman in her forties says: "Bring me something other than the underwear."
You say: "*finds a pair of pajama bottoms that smell like bananas and leaves*"
You enter hallway where you see 0 people, leaving Bedroom.
You enter Master Bedroom where you see 2 people, leaving hallway.
You say: "I found a piece."
A woman in her forties says: "Turn on the light."
You say: "*turns on the light and begins approaching the bed*"
A man in his forties says: "Why do you need the light on? Does it improve your sense of smell or something?"
A woman in her forties: "No, I just want to make sure she's not bringing me underwear."
You give pajama bottoms to a woman in her forties.
A woman in her forties says: "*takes the folded pajama bottoms and begins smelling them deeply* It smells like some sort of potpourri. Do you have anything like that on your dresser?"
You say: "No. I have one in one of my drawers, but it smells nothing like that."
A woman in her twenties gives you pajama bottoms.
You see a woman in her forties leaving Master Bedroom, entering hallway.
You enter hallway where you see 1 person, leaving Master Bedroom.
You enter Bedroom where see 0 people, leaving hallway.
You see a woman in her forties entering Bedroom, coming from hallway.
You say: "I don't put scent stuff on my dresser.
You pick up small piece of potpourri.
You say: "*digs through a drawer and pulls out a small piece of potpourri, bound by cloth* This is what I have. It smells nothing like that."
You give small piece of potpourri to a woman in her forties.
A woman in her forties says: "*takes the potpourri and sniffs it* You're right, it doesn't. *starts rummaging through the top of the dresser*"
A woman in her forties gives you small piece of potpourri.
You drop small piece of potpourri.
You say: "*throws the potpourri back into the drawer and closes it*"
A woman in her forties says: "Maybe… *abruptly exits*"
You see a woman in her forties leaving Bedroom, entering hallway.
You enter hallway where you see 0 people, leaving Bedroom.
You enter Master Bedroom where you see 2 people, leaving hallway.
A woman in her forties says: "*opens top drawer, which is full of underwear, in dresser* Come here and smell this, and tell me if that's what it smells like."
You say: "*approaches the dresser and tentatively takes a whiff of it, then withdraws quickly* Yes, that's it."
You see a woman in her forties pick up potpourri card.
A woman in her forties says: "I keep potpourri in my drawers. *rummages through drawer and comes out with a small card, and holds it up for [Snickie] to smell*"
You say: "*smells it* Yes, it does smell faintly like that…"
A woman in her forties says: "That's what it is. *puts the potpourri card away*"
You see a woman in her forties drop potpourri card.
You say: "Question now. Why does my laundry smell like bananas?"
A woman in her forties says: "The underwear probably did because yours had probably accidentally been put in my drawer."
You say: "Well then why do my pajama bottoms smell like it? …I certainly HOPE they haven't been in your underwear drawer."
A woman in her forties says: "Was the underwear on the pajama bottoms?"
You say: "No."
A woman in her forties says: "Then I wouldn't know. *gets back into bed* Turn out the light on your way out."
You say: "*turns out the lights on her way out*"
You enter hallway where you see 0 people, leaving Master Bedroom.
You enter Bedroom where you see 0 people, leaving hallway.
You say: "*finishes putting laundry away*"
