Will the lovers know to whom their heart is tied? Or is it a surprise?

I surely hope so, otherwise it wouldn't make any sense. So they do know about each other and try to protect themselves knowing that if one gets killed the other one will also die. But others don't know this so they might see their "alliance" as werewolfism.

Ah, I get it. Sounds like fun. So... if one lover is a werewolf and the other isn't, is it a good idea for the two to share this information generally? I guess the innocent lover could become a badguy pretty quick.

Seems it would only work in a place that you couldn't whisper to each other. Such as a live game.

That's what I though AoM - that's why I decided not to include it in the end...

Some people do try to play the forum game with strict 'no whispering' rules - but that's impossible to monitor - so I don't bother...

Nixit and AoM are going to have their morning coffee disrupted if one of them turns out to actually have been dead this morning instead of sitting around wondering what the headlines say.

Unless they already know they're not in the headlines.... at least, not as *victims*.

And why is Pirog suddenly exempt from this hidden accusation? If i end up dying, I'll have the werewolves rip me up leaving the headline saying: "The werewolves are right behind you, AoM! Run! Run for the hills! No! They're killing you! Oh my Jos, that is just not right! Oooh!" etc...etc...

Now I think that you and Pirog are in on it together, because you failed to mention him! Let us not forget that the two werewolves may have already chosen whom to kill, and we're simply waiting on a lazy seer. Besides, Pirog was the werewolf last time... i don't trust 'im.

I didn't mention Pirog because (a) he has already incriminated himself with his words. Look at him: he's wondering if the genetic modification kits were well received? Ha! He has bitten and turned more werewolves!

Also because his actions could be undertaken (hahaha) inside his house before he gets ripped to shreddies.

Um. In the non-online version of the game, you only get one ID, because your ID is printed on a card. So if you are the werewolf, you could not be a lover, and vice versa. It would be too obvious to hand someone two cards, see?

Nah, no two cards, maybe the moderator pulls two cards at random in the beginning, marks X to both of them, then puts them back and when people pull them there will be a recognition round when the moderator says that lovers are the ones that got an X and then "lovers, open your eyes" and they'll know who they are then. But they don't know the primary role of each other.

But, Seko, then the two cards would be irrevocably marked and couldn't be reused. I wouldn't do that to my Werewolf cards-- I like them too much!

There's an easy way to get around that problem. Give everyone a second card. Use a normal deck of cards, make sure you only include two hearts, the rest are spades, diamonds, or clubs. Then everyone has their jobs, and on top of that, if their second card is a heart, then they are lovers. During the first night, they can open their eyes to see who they are in love with. Easy as cake.

Except I believe -if- we are killed, it would be next morning. And I was just whistling... and swinging on my porch.

you get around that by having a 'cupid' card - that person is a villager, but on the first turn, they are asked to open their eyes and point to two people chosen to be lovers - that way, as cupid does not know the roles, the lovers could be a werewolf and a villager - even the werewolf and the seer. The gamekeeper then taps the shoulders of the lovers, after cupid closes his eyes, and they get to see who the other lover is - then the game proceeeds

Cupid card.... that makes sense.

So, are we in day or night now? It was a little unclear in the last post.
