Wearing boots and a jumper (admittedly short sleeved, yeah, but still a jumper) in mid August?

If I had kept my old characters up, they'd be in their 70's. But my favorites died when they were young. *sigh, wipes away tear* So, so young!

I've been trying to make more vulnerable chars. It's difficult for me because I tend to want to protect my chars from certain situations where I wouldn't have at least some control over their fate. So far this exercise in stepping out of my comfort zone has been disappointing. The vulnerable chars manage to meet overly nice people who want to help them build self-esteem; meanwhile whenever I cross paths with a slaver or otherwise "harsh" char, it's always with my chars who have strong personalities or street-smarts that wouldn't become victims of them (or they join them in their exploits).

Haha, yeah, it tends to go that way. All of my characters to get locked up or enslaved have had strong personalities, although they might be humbled by the experience. Meanwhile my shy exploitable weaklings end up treated nicely. Maybe people don't want to abuse someone unless the person is at least a bit annoying.
I have one character who would like to kidnap someone who would be afraid of him and not have too much of an attitude, while another would like a nice girl and wouldn't really want to hurt her or make her feel afraid or upset, but he's so desperately lonely that he might resort to kidnapping if he found someone he could drag or lure to his ship. First one has very high self esteem nowadays while second one has very low.

All of my characters have fairly strong personalities, even my newest char, who is vulnerable in that she's not the sharpest tool in the shed and maybe even a bit annoying, not to mention the fact that she's not physically strong by any means. But that is exactly how I wanted her to be. She's the hardest for me to roleplay because she's the least like me, especially in the agitating factor. Guess what happened to her? She spawned under the direction of one of the most powerful and compassionate (that she has seen so far) groups on Cantr. She's retaining her personality better than my second char ever did, but now she's sort of becoming my second char in terms of her extroversion.
Speaking of my second char, my two eldest are twenty-three, with my third to follow in about seven days. Yay. *fail*

My char doesn't think she's annoying. Neither do I. Maybe for others she is though. Mine is happy to have her in his town.

That's good to hear. She annoys me, anyway.
But she's fun, too, if that makes any sense. It's fun to be able to overreact to everything where IRL I underreact (if that's even a word) to just about everything, not to mention there are things she has done that I would never be able to do in real life.

My cardboard boat was such a huge failure. Sigh. Will try again in two years, I suppose.

Stupid A/C people! How hard is it to fix a central air conditioning unit? Sweltering night number three without A/C coming up... (well, here, but too hot to go to bed)

Thought of the day: I just came to notice that Cantr isn't blocked on the public computer in the hall of my school.
