Thanks, Jetlag. I can't believe I forgot to post that. There was a girl in high school and a girl in undergrad that rejected me because thay said I was too focused on marriage - not that I was pushing to propose or anything, but they were apparently freaked out that I actually thought about it. I pretty much thought, of course I am. What's so wrong with that?

Oh, well. Their loss.

Perhaps you've never seen a true drummer, or even better, a percussionist. I wouldn't tell them their not muscians, you're liable to get a stick inserted somewhere unpleasant. But I'd agree most punks aren't muscians though.

You're both ignorant, to put it bluntly.

I dislike country music, but that doesn't mean they're not all artists and musicians.

Alright, sorry. You're right, Nick, drums and percussionists are fine . . . I just find drums (like in rock bands) obnoxious.

And occasional ignorant remarks doesn't make a person ignorant.

I tell you who doesn't get alot of recognition is rap artists in general.

Some just write lyrics. But most of them are a level above other music types. If you actually took the time to read some of them, you'd realise how hard they work to get everything to sound right.

Then again some just make the beats. And I know alot of you are going to say they just remix old ones. Well while that does happen, alot of beats are fresh and new. I can just imagine how hard some people work to get that right sounding beat down, like jazzy, dj manny, swizzbeats... the list goes on.

Then some of them are crazy and do both. And for all you haters out there that claim raps just full of violence... get out of the 1990's and listen to whats goin down these days. Everyones happy (well, for the most part). I hate when people rely on that olf stereo-type that all rap is gangster rap.

You're right... now it's about girls, and butts, and all kinds of great suggestive material!

But you're right, the rhythms on a lot of them are pretty good, but sometimes the lyrics I just can't stand.

That would be a stereotype...

Deff. Least attractive thing on a person to me, is a behind. I don't grasp what people find sexy about them. Flat, round, big, wide, skinny or boney butts just aren't appealing to me. Never seen one that I liked more than another.

I enjoy making beats, I have in fact produced a CD for a friend of mine who raps (bilingually, actually.. it was a pretty cool CD), and am currently in the process of producing another one for friends of mine here in Halifax.

I dislike rap like G-Unit and whatnot... not all rap is about sex and whatnot.
At least good rap isn't.

I doubt that is the reason... even if it is true.

The music that gets a bad rap is bluegrass. Lots of layering and harmony coming together to make a complicated piece of music. Too many people just think of hilbillies and dismiss the talent it takes. The sounds of a well plucked banjo and madolin are incredibly underrated right now. And the lyrics transmit just as much culture as rap.

I have a slightly higher tendency to admire the T over the A. But nothing can overcome the power of a beautiful pair of eyes. It may sound cliche, but I think eyes can reveal a lot about what is going on in someone's head, even when other body language is being suppressed. Have to admit they've gotten me in trouble or time or two.
