What makes a character not boring?

Characters who don't worry about stuff. Cantr stuff is worthless, it bores me SO MUCH when they worry about "I want... I want... I want... give me... give me... give me." It makes me not care, unless that thing is food... that's Cantr needed. Material driven and focused characters bore the holy living crap out of me, man! (That's why I like Satrap OOC... IC he is irritating, no lie.)


That's definitely obscure. I'm about the opposite. Any well scoped character should have some sort of material desire. That's just being human. A lot of career fields and possibilities for interesting diversity is wasted away on player apathy towards materials.

Just my opinion.

I prefer a balance.
But then again, quite a lot of my characters have barely any material requirements.
Having my characters stuck in doing projects for other characters makes me lose my interest in them.
- Every person lost in war is two too many.
- Respect comes from two sides and must be earned. Nobody has the right to it because of a title, sex, age, race or birth.
- What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
- I believe in True Love, do you?

Other characters in the town I was in seemed to question my character's sanity just because she asked Satrap for a copy of his note.

Most of the time: Being awake.

Besides that I always enjoy characters who actually tries to create/enhance a society.

I like to think my dramatic emotes are what make my characters not boring. If you see some emote that somehow manages to link a lonely walk on the beach to a frown or something similar, that's me! :D

Satrap's way of emoting is just beautiful. I sometimes re-read 10 times.
