Not the French? You didn't have fun with the French?  :(

Yes, I did. That list wasn't meant to be complete. I met two French characters so far.

To be honest, I'd rather a character die then have to deal with over abuse of RP forcing garbage. Actually, I was a bit tempted to do that not long ago except I found out OOCally that he was gonna live... well at least get "let out".

Its just a game, man... and you've got more character slots.

I don't want that character to die. He's fun to play and so are the people who are not locked up with him right now. I want to get back to those.

Okay, you're stupid. Although knowing details of what's wrong might help to understand you.

Ridiculous roleplay. You can't *points at chair as if to say "go sit down there and eat the carrot stew on the table, then come to the bedroom"* PERIOD. Unless someone can give me proof of this being, indeed, possible.

Pretty much ignoring, destroying or changing things that are a fact. When people say *smiles*, they're smiling. Not *does not smile* but *smiles*. It's a fact, but a lot of people don't seem to get that and thus just decide that because it'd help them a lot, they put "*looks at the man who is not smiling*" to help themselves. And because it helps other characters, too, the players just go along with it. (Vague example, don't want to give away my character(s).)

Game-breaking strategies.

People that play Cantr instead of role play and play it. Especially if it harms the game. People that quietly do their thing to a lesser degree.

People that lock criminals up then leave them. It's ridiculous. Even the meanest characters lock up people with others there. Or go there often to role play.

Prisoners that don't roleplay. I hate it when people drop role play for no obvious reason.

People that reflect their own annoying OOC views on their IC characters. I already have to live in between annoying, narrow-minded bigots in the real freaking world. Do I also have to deal with them in Cantr, too, now!? Open up a little, alright!? Sheesh.

People that play the same personalities over and over again. (See: Rigel)

People that don't give a FUCK about the fact Cantr is a slow-paced game:
A) Going in and out of buildings to say something, then walk out right away without giving a chance to reply.
B) Waiting a RL hour for an answer for something, then act like the person questioned did not answer.
C) Spamming ten+ messages. I'm fine with up to five, really, but it's annoying to have ten messages of varying hours, often with emotes or texts that would've normally triggered an immediate response without allowing anything else.

Lack of openings to let my characters get further in life.

All my newspawns turn into lumps of coal because of people that don't create a story with my characters! Stop being so generic! Stop playing to yourself! Play with others for once!

...those are them...though there was more...it's more than I thought I had anyway.

edit: I am sorry if I offend or annoy anyone with my possibly agressive-sounding post... I mean no harm.

Wiro, I agree. It's why 9 of my characters are slowly being killed off by me.

One down, eight to go.

I had a character locked up... then killed. They wanted my character to drop a note and knock on the door, I was trying to play it off as my character cant write cause he didn't know how. They ended up killing him because there wasn't a note when he knocked. They didn't stay in there to give me a chance to be "Awake" when they were in there.

Uhm... Wiro... I know one character of yours that does the walking out, asking and vanishing a second later quite often, :P, but most of the village sees it as one of your character's special attributes, like they have many, ;)

That *IS* a character trait, impatience. (Also sort of like in those Chinese restaurants. "*Pops head out of small hole in wall.* Can someone get me two baked cats!? *Pops head back inside.*" xD) But she often waits hours to day(s) for an answer on emotes and the like - things that would be instant normally. Though I do admit that it didn't used to be one, but that was because back then I didn't know that it'd be better to wait at some questions, things said or some emotes.

So yeah, I used to make those mistakes as well. :P I'm not saying people can't make mistakes, but they're totally ignoring any help I'm willing to give. Any help available on this forum from many people, or given in an OOC message.

Everyone can make mistakes, but only if they're willing to learn.

Well if I EVER got an OOC message (and I have in the past) that said "Don't do this" or "You should do this"... I usually the opposite of what was suggested. (Rebma, you of all people should technically behave similar)

Basically, stop complaining and let people play how they wanna.

What THE HELL did I tell you about "Don't" and "Can't", Wiro? Rebma, YOU TOO!

People: Yes your points ARE VALID, however, your actual "Do it my way" is not. Cantr does not say people should play the way YOU WISH. Actually, the front page says they should play how THEY WISH.

Wait an hour is SLOW PACED, especially considering the way things currently work in life. (Note: I, myself, go RL days waiting for replies and the front page does say it "could" take that long but nothing says "please wait".)

Not to mention that the current Cantr mechanics actually support THEIR BEHAVIOR AND ACTIONS while not yours. Until set rules or mechanics are set in to "stop these people" you'll just have to play with them.

So, really, shut the hell up.

Kill off your character and/or go "play something else" if its THAT much of a problem. Don't y'all have FTO hump buddies to agree with you?

How do you know what my OOC messages are like? I don't see anything bad about "Could you please wait a bit before stepping outside again, so we can role play a little?"

Though I've been more rude than that. Like when these people were all foreign-emoting on me and attacked my character, so I wrote like a big emote full of Dutch stuff.

And the "game mechanics support this and that" is something you don't seem to understand, but whatever. Ask Jos, read old posts by Jos, and you'll understand.

And you're being rude. I really have no idea why everyone on the FTO forum hated you as much as they did. :D

I'm not quite sure why I'm being ranted at.. :?

Are these rules that Jos set down in stone? Are they more then just on the forum? Is there a clear explanation that people should and shouldn't "do this" or "do that" for all players? Hmm? Last I time I checked, Cantr had only ONE RULE and people still abuse the crap out of it, break it or generally bend it to their whim.

And from what I have read of the past the CRB was more of a guide, originally, then an actual rule. Something Jos, himself, admitted to "bending" on more then one occasion.

The only difference between now, January and "the good old days" is player tolerance and number of players/characters. Right now there is ZERO "player tolerance" for anyone not "playing their way" and its down right disgusting.... and the amount of players "returning", leaving, joining, etc is fluctuating to the point that there is no real telling "who is" and "who isn't" going to "play your way" so you really... REALLY... REALLY, just need to deal with it.

Also, the rude behavior is because what you've said (and a LOT of others) has been copy-pasted about a billion times sense late December or January. At first I wasn't sure what the problem was until I saw a some of these "problem characters" get interacted with IG. Turns out, the complainers are the problem. HA! Who knew?

Yeah! It wasn't hitler's freaking fault, let's just stop complaining about those six million jews that were killed and all's fine, right? :D :D :D
