On the char page toward the bottom where it says:

Enter new name in the text field and click on the "change" button at bottom.

I rarely enter a real name when I create a new char, and sometimes change their names to include other info that I want to see on the main char list screen.

Sure. I don't think the larger text field for the description works on your own char. If I recall, it doesn't save. But you can put whatever you want in the name field.

No it saves but doesn't show when YOU view the profile. If your character drags something or someone you can mouse over their name and POP there is your typed description.

Basically any event where your own characters name pops up on the event screen allows for you to take advantage of the mouse over option.

Err really, does it work? Since at least you can't or couldn't see it on the People page. It would make sense if it showed up there.

Doesn't some of this break a rule or two? Knowing the exact number of members in a fraction could alter plans and/or motivations for some characters in game. I mean if mentioning that one of them died was a 4-day-rule break (even after 4 days had passed), why isn't saying that there are currently e.g. 22 Whitepebbles running around a rule break?

No because the numbers also include dead characters - actually I guess the majority of people on that list are dead. So the numbers are no indication of how many there are left these days. Also some people don't need to add a title into their names because they remember it even without that.

I name my characters according to how they talk about themselves. Be why the one you know, Seko, has "of the Guard" in his name.

I don't think you're the only one. I remember seeing a name spelled like it was stuttered to most likely remind the player about how the character should speak, although I can't remember for sure what the name itself was.

I was going to make pie graphs but they turned out visually identical. They are distributed roughly in ratio 5:1:1 in both cases.

There are currently 5978 living characters so that means an average of 13 notes and 0.86 envelopes in one's inventory.
