I skimmed through 17 pages of this through the search engine and found nothing.
I then decided that if they were mentioned within these next 3 pages, I didn't care.

We already have cows (a bull is just a male cow).

Lemmings!

They would appear in great number, outnumbering all of the other animals combined, then suddenly and mysteriously vanish without a trace... especially in seaside towns :D

In all seriousness, I do think we need more small animals, things that noobs can kill with fists and very little fighting experience... this will help to reduce the number of dead newspawns :)

Yes, I think animals should be distinguished into males and females. There are important differences between the sexes for several animals (such as the horns). Myself I'd just like to see the deer distinguished into male and female:

"You expertly kill a doe (a deer, a female deer)" :P

Any sea monsters at all, no it is not realistic, but it adds a new dimension to sea travel.
