I am not here to debate, but I wanted to say that the insights into how the PD functions were quite interesting, and I for one would be interested in learning more about the workings of all of the different departments. I have sent in an application for one department, and I am interested, and I think that these glimpses should be transcribed into the Wiki.

Yes, interesting stuff. Talapus' comment is well-taken, however. "Internal transparency" is not really transparency at all -- to anyone but yourselves. To everyone else, you might as well be an opaque black box.

I have other comments on what you wrote, in particular on things I said that you misconstrued, but they'll have to wait until I have the time.

The Politburo was not meant as an insult, just an illustrative case of how you appear to operate. Whether you find that insulting or not is up to you. It was a group of people who answered to no one except each other, made decisions based on principles and using criteria they never needed to explain, and operated completely without input from the greater population -- or at least, never needed to take that input seriously. Your explanation helps, but I think this accurately describes your group as far as I understand it -- admittedly, not all that well, I'd imagine.

An insult would be to call you Stalinist -- conducting purges based on a whim, branding anyone who doesn't agree with you an enemy of the game, wearing ladies' underwear, etc. etc. Obviously that's not the case. Except, perhaps, regarding the underwear. But that's for another thread entirely.
