Yeah yeah SWYMIR. I know I know. I didn't get my PhD for being a mad lunatic for nothing.

“Mama says knock you out! I’m gonna knock you out!”
The doctor hummed the old folk tune his grandfather used to sing as he sipped at a cup of that damned weak tea they always had on the ships.
“Damn paper pushers, always cutting corners…” He grumbled. “I should have brought my own.”
Hearing the announcement, he grinned and rubbed his hands together. “Oh good. How very board I was becoming.” He thought to himself. “Finally, something to do.”
Not wanting to be late, he rushed on down to where all were gathering. Upon hearing the news, he seemed very cheerful.
“Oh, that’s all. I’d thought something bad had happened. I must say, I’m relieved. I wonder where our friend has got off to?”

finishes up the work he was doing on his computer then attaches it to a cord then to the navigators console
There you go. That should be our next course. If we lower life support output by 15% we can maximize thurster capablilty by 30% thus allowing us to travel an additional 200 lightyears before we need to gate out of hyperspace. The exccess Lifesupport is not needed as we are all put into a state of suspended animation our bodies do not require 40% of the oxygen we have being circulating during stasis. The only catch is that it needs to be brought back to equal stabilization within one hour of the wake cycle or we will all be killed. *he smiles and then turns to the captain* So whats the deal. why were we all called here. I need to get back to my bunk to make sure I am comfortable enough. When I woke up this time I had such a cramp.

REPORT
*Captain, after continuous failures to track Dr. McCoy I began scanning all of the security cameras aboard the ship to lock his position. My attempts have found Dr. McCoy dead in his Stasis Chamber. He seems to have been completely drained of blood.

“Oh dear.”
He fidgeted nervously.
“Oh dear oh dear. Whatever could have happened?”
A bead of sweat rolled down his forehead.
“Oh my, I’d better sit down. I suppose this must have been one of the colonists, no? What is to be done, captain?”

ANNOUNCEMENT
*Captain, in light of recent developments. I will delay the Stasis cycle for 24 hours. I can not prolong it any further than that as it could have devastating effects on our ability to complete our mission.

typing fast on his computer
Actually by the data I presented it wouldn't hurt us that much to delay it longer than 24 more hours. The only thing is that this Dr. McCoy is dead though.
begins reading his numbers
By my calculations we have a 99.99999999990% propabilty that the person who did this is still on board the ship. And currently our chances for survival coupled with my previous analysis our chances of mission accomplishment will be dropped by a mear 80%. Weighing heavily on the capture of the one behind the atrosity.

she shrugs
We're in deep space people - who knows what might have done this...
she turns around and taps something into the console
The diagnostic on Dr. McCoy's stasis chamber comes up blank... No malfunctions, and...
she frowns and scans the information on the console screen
The log goes blank here, at 7.6.2050 - it's been wiped, somewhat clumsily, but it means that whatever did this had, at least a little, knowledge of the ship's computer systems...
I don't wanna alarm y'all, but I'd bank on it being someone on this ship...
