I'd like to see more uses for diamonds. Diamonds are essentially the rhinestones of Cantr these days, but only a few things can be "blinged"

We're starting to get a few more uses for the various shinies, but agreed that they could all use more. But just a reminder that this is a thread about already existing items:

Edit; i'd just like to point out that while I don't mind people voicing their suggestions here, this topic was originally meant for existing items that might need balancing. See: the old log requirement for curtains that was removed.
New suggestions are welcome but have a better chance in the official suggestions forum. I always read all the topics there. What might be good to know is that well discussed suggestions have a better chance than those without any posts. Votes are mostly irrelevant although a nice indicator of popularity.
RD is always looking for creative minds to join us. There is a topic elsewhere I can't link right now (phone) that explains what we do and what we need.
The problem is I have a hard time coming up with too many already existing ones. A lot of the things my characters can't make, I assume is because they're supposed to require some work to get the materials. Other than a few of the older furniture items, nothing quite like the curtains has jumped out at me yet.

Will we ever get chance to saddle and tame elephants?

I think the purpose of this topic was lost, and suggest people read the first post instead of using this as a workaround for the suggestions forum.

Maybe the thread should have been named "Objects that are already implemented that you'd like to make but can't".

Bejeweled crown, because I can't get all of the stones needed.

Spyglass
One of my characters has seen a telescope and was hoping he could have something basic, apparently a brass case is very hard for him but a stationcar is easy.

Adding to this, there are lots of jeweled objects I'd like to have, but they ask for such specific jewels. Gem hair beads are the first to come to mind, since I've had a couple of chars who wanted those. But rubies and emeralds only? That wouldn't fit with the look either wanted, even if they had access to both of those specific gems.

Can't make a tajine because no clay. My character is still searching. OOC I know of sources on the same island, but since it would be wrong to use this knowledge, she's exploring the unmapped region instead, hoping to find clay there.

And what about that place with all the olives that can't make any kind of pasta? Not even rice noodles? There are some frustrated characters there, I'll bet.

I also have a character there and it has never even crossed her mind to make rice noodles, because no propane.

Yes, it is quite annoying that pasta dishes can't be made on those islands...quite annoying indeed. So many ways to cook fish though, so it doesn't have to be exactly the same meal every day!

Town gate. Stops animals from attacking. Keeps outsiders away from general population until they either leave town or are let in. Lockable. Outside object. Resources not farmable unless let into town. Animals only hunt able outside the gate.
Never gonna happen. Shame because it would give the towns something else to build.

So I'm sensing you're upset about animals today.
But Wiro might as well close this thread at this point, if that's possible. People keep having this repeated failure to understand the purpose of it no matter how many times he explains...
