I have a couple of characters that...when/if they find out will definitely be hurting.

Haven't had a character out that way in a long time, but I fondly remember Mykola as the only one there it was ever possible to trade with.

It always made me a little sad that he tried so hard to do the whole sentinel thing, but nobody in that place seemed to care enough or they were asleep so it was just him that kept it running. No clue what it is like nowadays so maybe I'm talking rubbish.

It had still been that way for a while, Wiro. Tammi (before she died) did sometimes handle a few trades, but it was still mostly Mykola - especially at the end when Tammi's player had some RL stuff to deal with and was rather "sleepy". Honestly, after she died, it just made sense to end his story. He loved her and her loss (making him a widower a fifth time over) - well, that hit him like a truck. It was a sad end, but it's what made sense for him.

I do hope that the leadership change makes for the area being interesting again.

Mykola was not all that much older than my character but I was an annoying newbienewspawn fresh on the learning curve, he was a big influence. Hearing about Mykola feels like the time Christopher Eccleston left Dr. Who. (really sad) I tip my ghostly, plumed nostalgia hat.

*nodnods* Looks like it's difficult to get people to step up and help you in that situation or surely he would have achieved it.

Baron Swiler Bee, by gods why :( Missinh lots, it's quite empty without him and he was an amazingly well played character too. I know mine will have a hard time getting over this. Lost a good, amazing character. And I am one sad Meem.

As a player, I also miss Swiler and Emerald, along with Amy Ginnie.

ANONY

I heard the radio announcement about Swiler the other day but wasn't sure if I should post anything about it until I saw someone had already beat me to it. Not that my character was in any way a fan, but he was always well RPed and such an important part of that town that I'm having a difficult time imagining it without him. I don't know what the situation was with the player (or who the player even is) but I hope they're not trimming their characters back too severely and still intend to keep playing their others, the game would lose a lot without them.

Four days ago, my character Offering died of old age. But she was forced into this by outside factors. Her life was turned upside down, reaching a point where continuing to live seemed scarier than dying. I can't say whose fault it was, and chance is I'll never be allowed to. She will simply disappear without a trace and I won't get closure. This bothers me to no end.

Now I can confess that she originally gained her galleon by breaking into it with Tyr. She always rationalized it by saying the owner had moved inland and didn't need it anymore, but she didn't know that the real owner actually had no such plans, because the ship belonged to a different person than she thought.

Not Offering :( She did lot's of good by helping new people and giving them free stuff. Such a big setback to new people

Rest in peace, Offering. Hopefully her notes will be found in a bookcase somewhere one day.

I really hope the actual story of what happened makes it to Cdls' site sometime.
