He opens the door of the ship and peers out into the desert.

Alright, let's get out there then.

He steps down off of the ship and scans the surrounding area.

Meh, someone's gotta keep you reckless twits out of trouble.

She smiles nervously. Guess that means I'm coming.

The landscape is nothing but barren desert for miles. The ground is sandy but without dunes. The temple rises above on a hill about two and a half hundred feet away. The ground gets rockier towards the temple. The screaming man can be seen in a massive crack in the temples walls, no longer screaming, smiling happily and staring off at the sunset.

He follows Albert and heads toward the smiling man. He looks around searching for a door to the temple.

[Fleegle]

Smirg holds his gun at the ready while they explore the area around the temple. He keeps his eyes moving from place to place looking for any potential danger. He briefly looks over the smiling man, but sees nothing he's interested in.

[Nalaris]

There are various massive cracks in addition to the main entrance itself. It appears as though it once had a pair of massive double doors, but one has been removed and now lies near the ships landing spot.

Can't we just report this to the Archaelogy Confederation and leave?

And have them take all the glory for stripping this sight of everything here? And they won't care about any of these.. people... and they won't do anything to help them.

Alright, I'm heading inside the temple to see what I can find. He walks up the stairs to the temple, takes one last look around, and walks through the door.

Ira follows the captain in through the doors.

((Yes... he's been lagging behind, but he came with everyone.))

Smirg covers the captain as he enters the temple.

The temple is filled with the people who are, every five minutes or so, spontaneously vanishing. The girl walks up to you and says "Thank you for helping us. Mom says we're leaving now, but some of use will be staying behind to guard this place. Maybe you should talk to them if you still don't understand. Silly people. It's not that hard to figure out!

Ira frowns and shakes his head. "Why are you all leaving? We just got here?"

[Michabean]

He bends down on one knee next to the little girl.
Why don't you tell me what is going on? I just don't understand. How did we help you? He makes a sweeping motion with his hand. What is so special about this temple?

[Fleegle]

"This is all too $#%@ing wierd for me. People disappearing and reappearing all over the place. I don't think I'll ever get used to this. And I was expecting I'd have something to shoot at! If you ask me this whole adventure was a waste of time."

[Nalaris]

"This is the temple of the Gods! Don't you know? Everyone must visit here in order to go to Gods Garden. But when the ship exploded we couldn't get there on our own, so we rode your ship. Most everyone's leaving to the Garden now. It's over, the pilgrimage, the sadness, life...Bye bye! Since you came here with us, I'll see you in the Garden when you die!"
With that, she vanishes. The temple is nearly empty, but a large hole in the floor reveals a massive room full of gold and platinum statues, sceptres, amulets, necklaces, and other jewelry.
