The Dead Character Thread

Holy crap! They talked about Maisie to people all the time! She was a legend! They missed her when they left her (and so did I!)

edit: iirc there was talk of going back and taking her with them.

She would have gone with you too (as soon as she could wrassle a mouflon by the horns and drag it on down the road with her. Failing that, she would have slit its throat, wiped her hands on her dirty dress, and just say heck with it, I'm going with you guys! )

So it's been three days so here we go.

Meem- one of my oldest
Domician Lore- another old one who I really had mixed feelings about, because of the great players involved with me. But my personal life came first.
Ohana
Feirrar - I really stopped playing her once Zaida fell asleep, then died. It was a good choice now that I had her follow her loved one.

Hopefully I'm back to playing after a few months away. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it I lost a few characters. Too many characters does become a burden and I think that had a lot to do with me stopping playing. I've only woke one so far may let some more sleep to see how I handle the one character to see if I want to kill the sleepers off as well.

Characters that died during my hiatus.

Elise aka Lewis. Born in Pok I believe ended up in Turquoise Mountain with King Elias. Inherited the throne with his death. Didnt care for the life style. Changed his name to Lewis. Sailed the world visited many places with his sleeping companion Gwendolyn. Eventually returned to his home island and starved in his sleep.

Primrose. Live in the Lad Forest area. Liked living alone but enjoyed her friendly neighbors who stopped by for a while. With no one to care for her she starved in her sleep as well.

Lager. Such an unfortunate character Never fit in any where and death always followed him. Though he did really like PDW went off for unknown reasons. Joined a biker gang and again starved in his sleep.

Cory Birdwhistle. Born in Reniov Mountains went off to find excitement. Joined up with the guy who was having issues with Jordan at Reniov Forest South. Probably one of the few that knew the true story as to what happened there but all that died with him.

Stewart Page. I'll really miss the folks at Zhift Forest.

A couple more minor characters that really did nothing but work and hadnt really developed personalities. They wont be missed.

I think when I had her pass she was 170ish.

Just heard about somebody that....well, can't say yet, 4 day rule. But even having not even known the character that well, it's still a gut punch.

There's been a lot of deaths...seems like someone (or maybe a couple of people) unsubscribed And I'm only going by the number of ones reported over the radio - I'm guessing there's a fair few others out of that network range or just not been discovered/being publicly broadcast.

It's like the black death of the Cantrian world... ...or an apocantrlypse!

Yeah, I'd been hearing of a bunch too. And none of the ones I'm aware of were sleepers. This one, definitely not. CAn't imagine how that town's going to recover, and the whole island just got so much more boring without them.

Read back more closely and...wow, yes, that sure was a lot of deaths one after another. Lots of chars waking up to bad news today. There were a few of them yesterday or the day before too, not sure if they're the same player.

I think I will need to hide from the mourning. I can understand it, but... I, as a player, can't really handle being around so much of it that Cantrians tend to do. Especially when there are a lot of deaths at once.

It was time for me to finally hit the X... Took me a while killing of a few chars one by one, but yesterday I finally managed to quit. It was a hard decision and it's actually nice to know I'm missed by some.. Quit at the top right? I love this game way too much to become a sleeper.. Maybe one day I'll be back, this world is so addictive.

I'm going on a holiday tomorrow, but after that I'll post the stories about my chars lives. Missing them really much..

Looking over the radio of the last few days, I'm counting at least 8 deaths. If they're all, or even some you Mee, thank you. You've been a bright spark in many many ways, and I hope to see you around again.

But yes, my fellows are going on hermitages for a while I think. 2 or 3 great characters dying? that's getting a little much grieving to handle at one time.

Well folks, I hate to say it but I got rid of one more. This one was a tough decision- one of my older ones, but with what's going on with my life and in game responsibility I had to let Hei M. Mason Blackrock go. I really wanted to wake him up more but it didn't happen. So all players involved, I'm sorry.
