If I woke up tomorrow magically appointed as Emperor of Cantr Development I'd get rid of ticks as the first order of business (and probably have no players left by the end of the week...)

Cantr being a democracy, or even just the idea of Cantr being a democracy is a big part of what's been dragging it down. Sometimes I wonder whatever happened to Emporer Jos...

There seem to be a lot of people in this game who have no idea how to flirt. And I don't just mean that they're not suave, which is perfectly forgivable, but rather that they're way too forward. I get that a lot of people treat this game like a relationship simulator, but can we please have some kind of education campaign to tell people to, you know, look for some indication of interest before smooching their victims out of nowhere?

One of mine has been flirting once a year for twenty years now. I'm pretty sure both characters involved will die alone.

Wooden bowls can't hold things but can be used to make some foods.
Earthenware bowls can hold things, but can't be used to make food with.
Mixing bowls can't hold things either, and make different food. :|

And then there's buckets and pots... in short: it's highly unintuitive which items are containers and which are tools and which are machines.

Someone finally said it, thank you. I have a character that subsists almost entirely on stew, they have access to wood, I've wanted a bowl for them to put it in for half their life now.

Supposedly there's some reason you can't use machines as containers, I think it came up in the decorative plant pot thread? Starting a project would destroy any resources inside it, or something like that.

That may be so (though I thought it was a matter of not adding containers to projects, like how you add buckles to things, if you added a container to a project it would make whatever is in it disappear?) but I'd think most logically it would be a case of "you can't make pastry dough in a wooden bowl if it's already full of stew."

No, there is no issue. See water skins, for example. Feel free to suggest it, but please be thorough and include all similar objects.

The issue is adding storages as object of a project.

Thought that was the case. I seem to recall a mention of buttons changing what they were made of when the project was canceled because of that. :D

See water skins? Water skins can't hold anything in this game; why should we see water skins right now?

Troughs aren't portable, but they are my go-to example for why machines can be containers.

There's no issue regarding machines which are containers. There was a problem with tools which are containers. The problem was potential disappearance of containers, because the contents have vanished then. That was probably the reason why it was done this way.

Right, they could decay. I forgot about that.

It's no longer an issue.

Tool repair parties.

Okay, this would probably be more entertaining were they actually parties.
