Social isolation in Cantr.
Out of my characters,
- has no friends left except maybe one back home, and with my luck he's probably dead by now
- interacts with a lot of people but the only one who's supposed to be really close to her has been asleep for years just sleepworking on projects and not saying a word
- recently lost her last friend and is in the middle of a region where nobody speaks English. Only went there with the off chance of finding rare things to sell forward, instead lost both of her friends and most harbors have been locked so they couldn't even get ashore
- sails with his gf who's played by someone in a completely different timezone from mine, so they interact once a day
- stuck with a new crewmember who acts like a martyr. OK I get it you don't like sailing with us, guess how great that makes me feel?
- dating someone who can't leave town due to crippling anxiety that everybody is going to die and the town will get looted if they leave. Imagine how much rp fuel it would give if the town actually got looted? Although given the inactivity of the region, it's unlikely to happen.
- one awkward relationship
- still mourning the loss of his wife. Almost completely lost emotionally
- has one person in the world that matters. That's enough. One of the few characters that doesn't give me stress.
- cares on some level about several people but I don't terribly feel like playing this character. He's easiest to play when he's hurt and/or scared and I don't know how to play him if he's happy
- cares about four people, two of them are out of town
- doesn't form emotional connections
- used to care about a couple of people, one of them is now dead. Recently unable to connect with anybody
- just came home and there's nothing to talk about. There hasn't been an active newspawn in decades
- at least a year's travel away from home. Thinking pessimistically, all the tools he left behind have probably expired by now
