It really does make interacting with chars more difficult. I learned a certain player played another player that my char was hell bent on killing for his actions on a dead friend of my char. Turns out the player played both the char that died and the player who my char perceived did the actions. Knowing who the players were made the other player probably more trusting of my char, but also made it more difficult for me personally to get my char to kill him. Nevertheless I had to stick with what my char did and I killed the char in revenge.

just let the characters have their own life.. if you know someone try to leave that out of the mind of the characters (easier if you have multiple personalities lol) a characters gotta do what a characters gotta do.. the players behind the ones you like are probably capable of doing the same if the characters are well enough played

I've yet to have a problem with knowing who the player is on characters that my characters have interacted with. There are some I will NEVER wish to know and I am sure the RP would suffer if I did. There are those that I am BEYOND glad I know the player because its easy to explain some situations without causing IG OOC chatter. Other times I think it does hurt the RP a little but not enough for me to notice or care.
ON ANOTHER NOTE:
I'd like to know who "Big Mouth" is but only because I wish to clear up some things on an OOC manner that are bothering slightly.

I do not really like knowing who plays who too much.
It slightly affects one of my chars, as I keep bothering the player of a char he travels with with it.
Or another way to put it;
As soon as I know the player my curiosity takes over. I want to know what will happen.

I don't like it to change how my charrie reacts, but sometimes I think my picture of the player can color my picture of the character. It isn't a biggie when there is a long term relationship (ie Lisette and Joram, once I knew the player, did not make a difference I think; or the friendship between Lisette and Cassandra either) but if it is not long-established, finding out may sometimes inadvertently effect my own reaction. Does that make sense??

Or finding out the reason this char is like this or that. Can sometimes make you change what your char would do. I know that it has done the same to me. Or when the other char says something that makes you wonder their age and come to find out they were way too young to be playing this game and some of the things that happen in this game.
Sorry, just my feelings on it

Maybe it's just me...
Yeah, hopefully it's just you since it shouldn't make a difference. I think I'm better at playing boyfriends than girlfriends. I wouldn't want somebody to get grossed out that I was playing some guy they're intimate with.

If you're talking about that 16-year-old, I don't think 16 is too young. One could argue that their characters should refrain from sexual activity since it could be illegal in some countries, but if it's not illegal in the country of that player then what right do others have to put a limit on them? We have a lot of good players under 18 and some not so good players over 18, so it doesn't necessarily define maturity.
