I vote occasionally, but it's really quite hopeless... as I'm guessing that in the Virtual Online Wrestling, there is some incentive in game to vote. That's how most of those games do it. Stupid, but it works.

And Snakebyte... mind your language.

There's a lot of things that help support this game. Voting isn't the only thing.

There are several simple things players can do to help advertise. One of them, is putting a link in your profiles on messenger systems. Another is suggesting it on forums you belong to or to buddies that you chat with. Or simply to suggest it to people that you know. My ex-neighbor plays and has for over a year, maybe more now.

You don't have to vote, but it is appreciated.

I don't, and I don't intend to either, unless I feel like it. I have voted I think a total of two/three times. I don't feel guilty for not doing it, either.
I hate people.

I don't even vote for the government...why would I vote for Cantr?

kinvoya wrote:I know we get money or something from those sites but I feel very ambiguous about voting on them. I feel they bring in the type of players who aren't really interested in a game like Cantr and who just play long enough to cause a lot of chaos then quit.

I'd like to see Cantr advertised on sites where more mature, serious roleplayers will see it. There have been a couple mentioned that have brought in some excellent dedicated players.

Actually I agree with this. The best way to improve the game is to figure out how to get more maturity (and attention span ) into it. Maybe we should give out free perscriptions of Ritalin with each new subscription. :D Imported from Canada, of course! ;)

Cantr benefits you, and it's free!

Even if cantr was run by megalomaniacal politicians with shady ties to big business, it wouldn't harm you. You wouldn't be sent off to die for stupid reasons, and your gas prices won't be affected at all!

Vote for Cantr!

Cantr for president!
