The one and twelve random number wouldn't work, as per the discussion in dice and chance, as some numbers have a greater chance to be rolled than others. So, giving a random number between 1 and 12 wouldn't be realistic, as you could get 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12 all with an equal chance (1 in 11), but realistically, you'd roll a 7 more often than you would a 2 (A seven can be achieved with 6 and 1, 5 and 2, and 4 and 3. Wheras a 2 can only be achieved with two 1s.)
See the meaning? There'd need to be more programming for that, but rolling two single dice would work just as well.

Whoa, didn't see this thread, but I already talked about how nice dice would be somewhere else.
I say, give us our probability cubes! Gambling is a part of society! Random dice generators are much more preferable to cards. Making cards from notes is very time consuming, and playing with them would be extremely frustrating, and depending on how they stack in your inventory, you could start to make educated guesses as to what card is what.
And definitely make it 1-6 per die. Roll two dice to play craps.

I can think of at least two of my characters who would absolutely love dice!
"You see a man in his fourties throw a die, rolling a 5."
"A man in his thirties says, "Yay I win a new bow!"
Or maybe..."A man in his thirties says, "SOrry, the Fates have spoken. You're guilty! Off with your head!"
Something so simple as a random number generator, why can't that be implemented?

I like it. Specifically, the way Marian suggested it would work.
Though we have something close already. Start a gathering project, and have all the gamblers join. Check how much is actually gathered. Specifically, the last digit. Bingo, one random number between 0 and 9 generated!
