Yea, all objects sounds fine for me. now for the general amnesia

But first make all links bold white, rather than orange. it's easier to read all white text with bold bits, I think

u, yes, it certainly looks that way.

I'm going to have to be careful now about what I say if it gets implemented that fast

How about....free sabres for all newspawns :P

I know that too much orange could become a problem, but I'm not sure if I'm crazy about nothing but white. Definitely going to take some getting used to...

It's a hard one to sort, trying to find the most unobtrusive combination whilst also making clear the difference between links and notmal text (for example i've noticed some headings on the non-game pages look like links now as they are white bold from before. Perhaps the bold should be replaced with HTML heading tags for a more W3 compliant experience

I really hate the white thing, it hurts the eyes to read it... plus it doesn't look all that refined.... i liked the orange... i think bold orange would look good with characters, but the buildings and vecs can stay white, it looked good there. but not alongside the non bold.... eww....

I think Boomheur's suggestion would look the best, now talk about keys before the topic is split :P

I haven't had the handle keys for about 28 Cantr years. Doesn't bother me, I'd just make a note in the building name. Although it could be handy if you're out of sight of the building in question

Don't know if this is the right thread or not, but...

What if you could re-do the tumblers in a lock and have that match an old key? I've got one character who inherited a bunch of old keys that are probably from vehicles and buildings that have been re-keyed. Why can't I change the lock on the building to fit the old key rather than created a brand new key/lock combination? Then I wouldn't have to make tons of copied keys--I already have them.

The current implementation of locks makes that impossible ... it would require a rewrite of all the lock code ...

I really don't see why effort should be put in this, now that we have the dynamic naming of buildings, rooms and vehicles. This option was mentioned early in the thread and is extensively used by my characters. One of them has more than 10 keys and just put the key numbers in the room/building/vehicle names. Works fine for me.

I'd say this suggestion would be a 'nice to have', but nothing worth any programming effort.

Sorry for disagree with you, but a "nice to have" should be a north for the Prog. Dept.
And... is that effort too hard? I mean, giving dinamical names to keys. If vehicles, buildings, people around have the possibility of being re-named, then why not keys? Maybe is there some kind of programming impossiblity that I still don't know?
If not... Why should Cantrians write down a note with a neverending list of numbers, when they can have a name store on a key? Yeah, it's a "nice to have", but "Music" isn't itself a "nice to have" too?... What's the proper meaning of "nice to have"?
I think dinamical names for the keys will help Cantrians on an more friendly game experience. That could be named as "nice to have", but also as a "need", depending on who's analysing it.

Why not be able to rename keys, but only on position two?

Key no. 123456
[ White House ]

Key no. 234567
Key no. 345678
[ Unknown, found it while travelling ]

I support the idea, though I wonder if anyone else should see the name. For them it's just another key.
