ah, but that's different. that's the living person's name for the dead. what we need is the dead person's name for the living. that's what's lost.

Dead bodies keep other characters DYNAMIC names for them.

Those are kept in the other character's database entries.

Since the dead character doesn't have to look at himself anymore, it doesn't matter that his entry is deleted.

radiofreewest: when a character dies, its database entry is deleted
radiofreewest: but since other people's dynamic names for that character are stored in their OWN database entry, not that characters, they can still identify the body by its dynamic name.
