What have you done with rich characters?

My char gets drunk everyday, while doing absolutely nothing useful, and occasionally kills any competitors that are muscling in her village.

So... nothing much  I need inspiration too

My most wealthy character has started a few manufacturing businesses for hard-to-get items. A bit hard to find clients, but I'm sure they'll come in time. Seems like getting the raw resources is actually the easy part for many things, though.

Idea: Take a newspawn under your wing for no more than three or four days (just long enough to make sure they will be wakeful), and then die of old age. The town is shocked to discover that in your secret will, you have left everything to the newbie.

You'll be dead, but this will be fun for everyone else in one of several ways: either the town goes all "murder mystery" on the newbie and locks him up for conning and poisoning an elder; or the town leaders facilitate the inheritance and some new blood now has huge power in the town.

Something to keep in mind when you don't want to play the character anymore, for sure. :)

Another option: If the rich char is in a town that has 5 people and 30 buildings and 50 boats/vehicles, start buying up real estate and giving a vehicle or building to each promising newspawn (after you see they are wakeful and have goals). You'll be remembered forever for helping them get started on their dreams.

I've seen people do that before, and it is certainly something they never forget.

I've decided to build up a business with mine, and eventually branch out. Investing in other people's business's is also a nice way to bring more unique and interesting stuff into the economy, plus you're helping people do what they want to do which enriches their story.

Then there's the parties. The glorious parties.

I usually compare what resources my charcacters had with what this person could add to my experience. The latter usually wins.
