I'm liking what I'm hearing here :) This all sounds good, I must confess I only skim read it, but it's sounding like a good step forward.

Perhaps the distinction between automatic food and healing food should be removed?

If there were more attributes then food could be one large group, and each food affects each attribute differently, so sugar could give you a short energy boost but not really fill you up, or something like that.

Solfius,

there is already some types of food, that combine both aspects (healing and nutrition). The healing effect can only be triggered by manual eating of the food.

really? I have yet to come across them. Tell me, has this been so for long, or is it somewhat new?

I really like the original idea. :D And people can work themselves or be worked to death. This could work.

I'm opposed to this idea. It gives newspawns a to great disadvantage.
