I'm always slightly confused, when you talk about 'Serenity'. Pilot, movie, space ship, series, pretty much overloaded.
Do you think, the pilot was bad? I didn't think so. It introduced the characters well, I think.
I am talking about 'Serenity the movie' not 'Serenity the pilot'. They are two different things or will be.

I thought the pilot was good to. That was the point of the pilot which was to introduce the characters. Obviously FOX didn't think that was such a good idea.

Nah. Episode 2 left a lot of bad tastes in everyone's mouth. A lot my friends aren't even going to bother to see it in the theatres but wait for it to come out on DVD and rent it instead. Pay $10 to see a horrible movie! I don't think Episode 3 is going to do as well as they think and I wouldn't be surprised if it flops in the box office.

I agree about closure. A lot of people will want to see how Anakin finally turns. However, with Serenity being released that year as well, I doubt it'll go toe-to-toe with Star Wars; rather, it'll probably be released later in the year, most likely around November or December. By then, many more disgruntled SW fans will look towards other movies/shows including our beloved Serenity for a new 'verse to enjoy.

I found this on the official board and I couldn't stop laughing after.

Can you imagine Serenity action figures in Happy Meals?
Kid: "Look mommy I got the space whore!"
Mom: "And I know how much you wanted to get the preacher with the gun accessorie. Don't worry we'll come back so that you can get him too."

Well, the Firefly DVD sales on Amazon.com is at 24th place. It is the top 25 bestselling DVD and it is over four months since it was released. That is awesome.
Also, other Browncoats are reporting that Firefly DVD are popping up for sale where there weren't any being sold before and that they are getting prominent displays. I noticed this myself at Wal-Marts the other day.
Plus, Firefly had sold over 200,000 copies at the beginning of February. We Browncoats are shooting for the 1 million mark by the end of the year.
To the European Browncoats (Jos, Thomas, anyone else?), word is that the Region 2 DVD version is coming out in April. Just in case you wanted to know.
