OK, people play Cantr because it's Cantr, not because it's ad free... But I've tried games laden with ads and got ouyt of them pretty quickly.
If they're at the bottom, I'd think that would be the most intrusive the way I operate.
If Doug can tell us all how to block them then fair enough, otherwise, ask yourselves, which does the game need most, more players or more money?

Well no one likes having ads shoved down their throats but they would help Cantr as a whole.
I mean my first response was, "NOOOOOOO!!!!" but then I thought for a moment.
Having ads would indeed help Cantr grown at least in its pockets which would then allow for more things to happen. (Like less down times via the server) Throwing them on the bottom doesn't solve anything, at all. Actually it makes the ads absolutely worthless so then there would be no point to them.
On the character select screen would be the ONLY PLACE more ads could be put... and putting them above the "Info" would be okay with me.
Having ads about while actually in character would annoy the crap out of people.
But, like Doug, I've ads blocked so whatever.

You know... a Google powered search that opened in a new window on every in game page wouldn't be bad.
Sometimes this game has things I've NEVER HEARD OF so I Google them anyway. That helps players AND adds... ads.
Sometimes this games has things that don't exist or are named incorrectly as well. (Guiges for example... they are named incorrectly in game.)

I would hate it.
Imagine that boobstro lady (you know who I mean!) appearing on every page in Cantr's gameplay. Not only would it lag stuff horrible-like, it would cheapen the game experience and impress heavens-knows what on everyone's unconscious minds as we refresh those pages and whether we want to or not - glance at the boobs.
Some people might say "just use an ad-blocker" but if everyone uses that, then what's the point of having any ads installed in the first place? All in all it seems like something that should only be done in a situation of complete financial desperation and even then not forever.
