Yes, the Krif Freedom Fighters joined the Smoke Jaguars as well as did James Whitmore. James later betrayed the Smoke Jaguars original leader (I cannot remember is name; help here Thomas or anyone?) to Seatown Forest and officially at that point joined the Forest but that almost got him killed. The Smoke Jaguars was originally ran as two seperate groups, the group of Drojf Freedom Fighters led by Elanor Roi and then the the group of Dark Legion of Krif soldiers led by that original leader who got killed in the Forest after betrayed by James. That original leader was replaced by a man named Nathan Holmes (I guess someone must have been reading or watching
The Postman at the time; great story by the way; in fact I'm watching the movie right now) who at that point took pretty much full control of the organization with Elanor Roi as just a figurehead and changed the name from Smoke Jaguars to the Alliance but everyone at the time referred to them as the Smoke Jaguars and many still do. The Smoke Jaguars original plan was to take Seatown Forest and use it as their base of operations to take over the region and oust the terror of Craktar. James, who was a spy under Maynard and felt betrayed by the First Krif Empire when it fell, joined the Smoke Jaguars in the hope of killing Craktar (James thought that Craktar killed Maynard which was common knowledge in that region at that time; most people thought that) and perhaps reclaiming the glory of the First Krif Empire. James later came to release his hatred under the mentorship of Gregor Mendal, who was an old guard of Craktar's who made a home in Seatown Forest, and find a new cause. I think Gregor Mendal knew the whole time what and who James was. It was at that time that James betrayed the leader of the Smoke Jaguars while on a visit to see James and see how their operations were going. James also saved a young woman named Silverfoot, who was being killed by the Smoke Jaguars at the time. This led Donna Trent to be suspicious of James and somehow she learned who and what he was. Donna locked James up for days and was about to kill him but instead made him swear an oath of honor to serve the Forest and never to betray it. I think once again that Gregor had something to do with this and perhaps convince Donna to allow James to live.
Once Nathan Holmes came to power of the Smoke Jaguars, Craktar had died. The Smoke Jaguars, now calling themselves the Alliance, raced to Drojf and eventually to Krif to fill in the power void left by Craktar's death. The Forest at the time thought that with the Smoke Jaguars' leader's death and their plans foiled that they would simply melt away and disappear into the Hills. I think it was at this point that the Krif Freedom Fighters broke off from the Alliance and came to be in the Forest where the Forest learned of the Alliances takeover of Drojf and Krif and were claiming a new empire (I don't think this empire was actually ever named). It was at this point that the Forest decided they would do something about this and the Krif Freedom Fighters joined them to form what became to be known as the Seatown Warriors. If you read, the accounts by Gregor Mac Gregor or Gary Drenth you would think that only two people actually fought the war. But it was a number of different men and woman, most of them residence of the Forest, that fought and some of them even died. In fact, there are still many veterans of that war and can claimed to have been part of the Seatown Warriors living in the Forest today. Well, anyways, the resulting war was a complete rout of the Alliance and their utter destruction. With both Natham Holmes and Elanor Roi dead and most of the loyalists of the Alliance dead, the Alliance simply died out though there are still a few member roaming about who survived. After the war, the Forest left, once again leaving a power void in that whole region. Gregor Mac Gregor moved into the Krif Hills and founded the Mac Gregor Clan, the Nosse took control of Drojf and later formed the Drojf Council, and a man named Jacob Simons took power in Krif. Jacob Simons was the only surviving member of the Krif Council (other than Craktar) who wasn't killed when Maynard and Craktar overthrew the Krif Council and formed the First Krif Empire. Now Jacob Simons formed the Second Krif Empire and declared himself Emperor. And most of us know the rest. Maynard Leeward returns. At first befriends Jacob Simons and then allows himself to fall out of power. Then Maynard takes power but disolves the Second Krif Empire and forms the Krif Counsil. Maynard doesn't have a seat on the Krif Counsil but many believe that he controls it but there are others that say that Lucius Blackheart actually controls the Krif Counsil and other still say that Maynard is working through Blackheart. blah, blah, blah. More conspiracies and yet more. Will it ever end. No and I hope not.
