Heh, I tried to come up with a comment but the music speaks for itself, doesn't it? :) I love CAB. So There Is Love and Perfect are great, too, but I couldn't find those on Youtube.

I accidentally found this, while looking for something else and... well... I thought I'd share it.

"Indigo" by Yiruma: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MEMvlIB ... re=related

And, by the same artist: "Moonlight": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99GyFmnH59s&NR=1

Yeah, I'm in that rainy mood today.

All good stuff there. :)

I've had my "jukebox" on random a lot lately. Tons of Rush, Dream Theater, Pagan's Mind, Flower Kings, Enchant and much much more. Oh, and the new Mr. Big too.

It's not Sheehan, Satriani or Vai... but, if you listen to it at 'feel it through the furniture' levels, it has the same effect:

enjoy... I do.

That song kind of reminded me of this:

This is probably going to sound so pretentious and 'arty', but really... I do see the similarities... They are actually quite striking, at least between the original remix and the second tune you listed... superfluous elements aside, and I am a compulsive 'deconstructor' of musical elements.
This is the original:

Slightly more inaccessible, but a little more 'organic', and possibly closer again... I don't know.

Can't everyone write the artist and the title of the song, and not just the link to u-tube? I can't access u-tube from work, so the thread becomes a bit boring. :)

stereolab/microlab - 'endless summer', on the album 'Microstoria: Reprovisers'.

It's a remix of the original track:
Mictrostoria - 'Endless Summer NAMM', on the album 'snd'.

[edit] Obviously... relating to the youtube links already posted by me.

Sorry, Echoman. As you know, I usually do, but in the last case, I purposefully did not, because knowing the artist and the song wouldn't have given you the correct impression. Namely, it really wasn't (despite the thread title) "listening to the music" that was the important part, but watching the video, which was a humorous intrepretation of the what the lyrics of Hanson's "Mmmbop!" might actually be.
