Seems we're down about 30 players right now, based on average usage at this time of day.

Give it a couple days for the average to bounce back up. After a few days of downtime, it'll take a bit for everyone to settle back in.

We were taken down to have the stents put in on the left side of dad's heart and were informed they were not going to do them. Apparently there are multiple blockages and stents were not a good option for the amount of blockage. So on Wednesday he will be undergoing open heart surgery / bypass surgery. It is at a minimum quadruple and they said possibly more bypasses.

Thanks Doug...and for that matter to all of those keeping my dad in thoughts and prayers. You've no idea how much we do appreciate it. We're all pretty scared at this point, this is major surgery and he's terrified.

My dad had bypass as well as many stents before that, pace-maker put it and you name it. Good thing they found the blockages before they could become worse and cause a massive heart attack, especially the main artery through the heart, the "widow maker" I think they call it.

Your dad will be fine and feel 100 percent better after the bypass is finished. Most of the tiredness and pain goes away and he'll pretty much go back to being his old self.

Yeah he had the heart attack last time about 4 years back and it was due to the "widowmaker". That's when they did the first stents. I'm really hoping this helps him start feeling better but it's got him really scared of course. He's already had a massive heart attack, this one wasn't as bad but it was bad enough. They told him he won't survive another one.

He's a blessed man to have survived the first one if it was because of the widow maker. Most people don't survive those. I can imagine it is a scary thing. But good news is my dad who had several heart attacks prior to the bypass hasn't had any problems since his bypass; it's the big surgery nobody wants to go through but it's also very effective. Dad still tires easily, but he still gets out and does mostly what he wants. So, it's kind of a rough time now but he'll be doing a lot better when it's all over with.

I certainly hope so and it does make me feel a little better at least. He's going to have a tough time not only with this but quitting his smoking. That's going to be rough on him too.

The smoking part I know about first hand, that is rough. It might as well be heroin it seems like. Usually after the first few weeks it gets easier. I've been quit now for six months I think and it's almost like I never smoked, not only physically but mentally, and I smoked for seven years.

He has smoked since he was 12. He's now in his 50's. Back after his last heart attack involving the widowmaker...they told him to quit smoking and he did good for about 2 months, then started working back out at the prison and got around everyone else that smokes and got back into it.

That can make it hard, getting around it again. Too bad he didn't hang in there. But everybody ex-smoker quits at least a hundred times before they succeed anyway, it's probably one of the hardest things to quit. Trial and error is the best way sometimes, he might have to start taking his breaks somewhere else until he's comfortable enough to be around smoking again.
