Maybe it's been to long, but I don't remember so many games going into over time in the other world cups.

Homer: "France"

Isn't it interesting to note that not a single person picked Italy or France in the poll?

I know where not to get my soccer/football news if I plan to place a wager.

Which penalty kicks are you talking about?

I don't get it.

FRANCE-SPAIN 3-1
FRANCE-BRAZIL 1-0
FRANCE-PORTUGAL 1-0

France will win, they play the better football by far.

I'm not sure I agree, Cookie... they looked dreadful against a very ordinary Portugal side, but I do hope they can raise their game for Italy.

But France's performance against Brazil was superb. It could be compared to Argentina's performance against Serbia, but surely the beaten teams couldn't be compared (Serbia's last in World Cup clasification and Brazil is the last champion)
So... Don't forget that image of France. They can wake up in any moment, particularly when they're playing the Final.
But something must be remembered: Italy was into one of the hardest groups, they destroyed Ukraine and finally they quit the favourite one at their own home.
Let's forget the Austalia on-time penalty, and let's say Italy is a more consistent team. Just take a look at France's group: Togo, Switzerland, South Korea. Adn they were second :!:

pd. C'mon Portugal! You're our third!

Ouch... Zidane absolutely wrecked that guy...

Congrats to Italy. But I think France outplayed them on the pitch.
