<3

love this song :D
I have a tendency to sing this and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMlPVpXtkJY this to my friend. Specifically, the line "reached back like a pimp and slapped the ho" xD

Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_weSk0BonM

"Trying hard not to hear but they talk so loud
Their piercing sounds fill my ears try to fill me with doubt
Yet I know that the goal is to keep me from falling

But nothing's greater than the rush
That comes with your embrace
And in this world of loneliness I see your face
Yet everyone around me thinks that I'm going crazy
Maybe, maybe

But I don't care what they say, I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away but they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein that I keep on closing

You cut me open
And I keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love"

Funny enough, this also applies to the same char: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeDPySP4 ... re=related Belle (Reprise)

"His "little wife"
No sir! Not me!
I guarantee it
I want much more than this provincial life!

I want adventure in the great wide somewhere
I want it more than I can tell
And for once it might be grand
To have someone understand
I want so much more than they've got planned"

Heh, the Divided Woman, indeed.
"She could make something sound stupid just by hearing it.”
"For a short moment there, you almost sounded human."

2nd Suite in F IV: Fantasia on the Dargason by Gustav Holst
Fantasy on a Japanese Folk Song by Samuel R. Hazo
None of these have lyrics, and the titles don't all match for the characters, but the melody lines provide emotions I think are quite appropriate for several of my characters right now. The "Fantasy on a Japanese Folk Song" insinuates sadness and maybe even lugubriousness I think, while the "Fantasia on the Dargason" insinuates a mix depending on the part in the music: triumph, relief, loneliness, and quiet contemplation.

With all the different islands/language communities and small disperse cultures instead of big nations, and death so common, what I've seen so far makes me think of this song:

"A world not so beautiful - Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio"

Chroma Key - On The Page http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvMVjl4C ... re=related
"Got to have a subplot
When I sell them my life story
Maybe I should write it first
And do the living later

'Cause life is so much cleaner on the page." and...
"Each time I write lines for it
Someone improvises it"
"She could make something sound stupid just by hearing it.”
"For a short moment there, you almost sounded human."

Johnny Cash - Hurt (Yeah, I prefer his quietly dark version rather than NIN's.). Every single word fits so perfectly. One could replace "needle" with something else, but I don't feel particularly pedantic right now.

I love that Johnny Cash version as well, knowing his past so well (don't ask)...the needle fits for him, maybe not for cantr though. The empire of dirt sure fits.

You know I was pedantic once, then I bought a car. But whats that got to do with a theme song I have no idea.
